Your First Batch

By the end of this guide, you'll have created your first batch of gift cards with every code captured and ready to use.

Open BatchCard

1. Go to your Shopify admin and click Apps in the sidebar.
2. Click BatchCard.

Create a new batch

3. Click Create Batch.
4. Enter a batch name. Pick something descriptive, like "Spring Promo 2026" or "Employee Rewards March."
5. Set the quantity — this is how many gift cards you want to create.
6. Enter the gift card value in your store's currency.

7. (Optional) Choose an expiration date if your gift cards should expire.
8. Click Create.

View your batch

BatchCard creates all your gift cards and brings you to the batch detail page. Here you'll see:

• Every gift card code — the full codes that Shopify normally hides after creation
• The value of each card
• The status of each card (active, disabled, or redeemed)

Why this matters

When you create gift cards through Shopify's admin, the full code is shown once and then hidden. BatchCard captures every code at the moment of creation, so you always have access to them.
