Terms of Service

By installing BatchCard on your Shopify store, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app.

These terms apply to all users of the BatchCard Shopify app and the batchcard.app website.

BatchCard is a Shopify app for bulk gift card creation. Merchants use BatchCard to create gift cards in batches (hundreds or thousands at a time), capture and store gift card codes, import gift card data from CSV files, export batches for record-keeping, and deliver gift cards to recipients via email.

BatchCard operates within your Shopify admin and communicates with the Shopify API to create and manage gift cards on your behalf.

BatchCard requires an active Shopify store with a plan that supports gift cards. The app is accessed through your Shopify admin. BatchCard does not create separate user accounts.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Shopify account credentials. Any actions taken through BatchCard using your Shopify account are your responsibility.

All billing for BatchCard is handled through Shopify's app billing system. BatchCard charges appear on your regular Shopify invoice.

BatchCard offers monthly and annual billing plans. Plan details, pricing, and card limits are described on our pricing page. Pricing is subject to change with 30 days' notice.

Refund requests are handled in accordance with Shopify's app billing policies. If you have billing concerns, contact us at support@batchcard.app and we will work with you.

You agree not to use BatchCard to:

• Create gift cards for fraudulent purposes or to facilitate illegal activity.
• Circumvent Shopify's terms of service or gift card policies.
• Send unsolicited or spam emails through the email delivery feature.
• Attempt to access data belonging to other merchants or stores.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of BatchCard.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms.

BatchCard, including its code, design, documentation, and branding, is owned by the BatchCard team. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the app as part of your Shopify store subscription.

You retain full ownership of your gift card data, batch configurations, recipient lists, and any other content you create or import through BatchCard.

Your use of BatchCard is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

We make reasonable efforts to keep BatchCard available and operational. However, we do not guarantee a specific uptime percentage or service level agreement (SLA).

Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance when possible. Unscheduled downtime may occur due to circumstances beyond our control, including Shopify API outages, hosting provider issues, or security incidents.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BatchCard and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

Our total liability for any claim related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid for BatchCard in the 12 months preceding the claim.

BatchCard is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. Uninstalling the BatchCard app from your Shopify store ends your subscription and your use of the service.

Upon termination, your batch data and gift card codes are retained for 30 days in case you reinstall. After 30 days, all data associated with your store is permanently deleted. You may request immediate data deletion by contacting us at support@batchcard.app.

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access for violations of these terms, with notice when practical.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you through the BatchCard app or via the email address associated with your Shopify store at least 30 days before the changes take effect.

Continued use of BatchCard after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of BatchCard will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California. By using BatchCard, you consent to the jurisdiction of these courts.
