Brand Settings

This takes about 2 minutes. Brand settings are available on every plan.

By the end of this guide, your reminder emails and printable gift cards will carry your store's branding.

What brand settings control

Brand settings live in one place and apply everywhere BatchCard shows your brand:

You can set your branding on any plan. The previews always show what your emails and cards would look like.

Set your branding

  1. Open BatchCard and go to Settings.
  2. Find the Branding section.
  3. Enter your accent color as a hex value (for example, #1D4ED8). This colors the email header band and card accents.
  4. Enter your logo URL: a public HTTPS link to a PNG or JPEG image.
  5. Optionally, enter a logo for dark backgrounds: a version of your logo that reads well on dark or colored surfaces. Stores with a dark or white logo variant get the best results from filling both fields.
  6. Click Save.

The previews next to the form update as you save: one shows the reminder email, the other shows a printable card with a style switcher. What you see is what prints and sends.

How BatchCard keeps your logo readable

You never have to worry about a white logo disappearing on a white card or a dark logo vanishing on your accent color. BatchCard measures the contrast between each logo and the surface it would sit on. On a white surface it checks your regular logo first. On the colored band behind an email header or a card design, it checks your dark-backgrounds logo first.

BatchCard then works down this list and stops at the first outcome that reads clearly:

  1. Your regular logo. It reads on that surface, so BatchCard places it and leaves the band filled with your accent color.
  2. Your dark-backgrounds logo. The regular one would not read there, so BatchCard places the version you uploaded for dark or colored surfaces instead.
  3. A slightly darker band. Neither logo reads on your accent color, so BatchCard darkens the band by the smallest amount that makes one of them readable, and places that logo on the darkened band.
  4. A light band. Darkening does not rescue either logo, so BatchCard fills the band with a pale tint of your accent and checks your logos again against that lighter surface, starting with the one meant for light backgrounds.
  5. Your store name in text. No logo reads on any of those bands, so BatchCard sets your store name in clean text rather than printing a logo your recipients cannot see.

Outcomes 3 and 4 change the color of the band, so it will not match the hex value you entered exactly. Text and borders drawn on the band take their color from the band BatchCard actually chose, which is why a tinted band still reads clearly.

Override the automatic choice

The Logo on accent band setting sits under the logo fields in the Branding section. Leave it on Auto to use the outcomes above, or choose one of these four options to make the call yourself. Your choice wins over the measured contrast.

  • Logo: place your regular logo on the band, whether or not it measures as readable.
  • Logo for dark backgrounds: place your dark-backgrounds logo on the band, in the same way.
  • Light band: fill the band with a pale tint of your accent, then place whichever logo reads on that tint. If neither one does, your store name appears in text on the light band.
  • Store name: show your store name in text on every surface, emails and cards alike, and never place a logo.

Logo and Logo for dark backgrounds need the matching logo field filled in. With that field empty, BatchCard goes back to choosing for you. Those two options and Light band only change the colored band, so a surface with no band, like the white body of a printable card, keeps the automatic choice. Store name applies everywhere.

Requirements for logo images

  • Public HTTPS URL (a link anyone can open).
